Mouth-blown, hand-shaped Murano glass vase.
∅18cm x H 27cm | ∅7.09in x H 10.63in
The “Palina” vase takes inspiration (and its name) from the slender shape of the wooden poles traditionally used for mooring boats along the Venetian canals. Its unique texture is created by pressing onto the inner surface of the glass a stamp made from reclaimed paline.
This “negative” process, applied to the vase’s interior rather than the exterior, evokes the Japanese concept of “void” understood as a space defined by two structural elements.
