Mouth-blown Murano glass bowl, shaped using a mold made from Venetian lagoon briccole.
∅30cm x H 25cm | ∅11.81in x H 9.84in
The name “Briccola” refers to the set of wooden poles used in Venice to mark navigable waterways, while its shape is inspired by the Consiglio dei Dieci (Council of Ten), the Venetian institution that also influenced the design of the dieXe chandelier.
The concept of “ten” takes form in the mold used to shape the centerpiece, whose decagonal base is created by geometrically arranging fragments of reclaimed briccole wood.
The natural element of fire finds expression in the slow combustion of the wood, leaving an imprint on the glass that transforms into a highly tactile, irregular, and unique texture on each side.
