Lido – Liberty – Bowl

In the early years of the Twentieth Century, Art Nouveau makes its mark on the heart of the Lido island. Artists like Luigi Fabris suggest new decorative and architectural elements, characterized by sinuous lines and floral motifs. The new Liberty-style villas and hotels become the focal points of an entire district within the island.

The vases in the Lido Liberty collection pay tribute to the shapes found in the windows of these architectural marvels, now protected by the Venice “Sovrintendenza” Authority. Vases and bowls adorned with vibrant colors reminiscent of those used in the ceramics of these splendid seaside villas; colors intensified through the Murano glass incamiciato technique.
